Suresh Raina, who has been a permanent member in the Indian one day scheme of things for some time now, will look to inspire India after their test specialists were humiliated in the just concluded Test series. Raina, however does not want to look back at what went wrong during the Test Matches that India lost to Australia 4-0. The limited version starts with two Twenty 20 internationals against Australia and ODI tri series with Sri Lanka being the third team.
Raina, who has just joined the team, was asked to explain the mood in the dressing room after the drubbing “The motivation is good,” he said. “The boys who have joined the team for the shorter version saw the matches and everyone know that we haven’t done well in the Tests, but there is a passion inside to do well. Andar kuch karne ki tamanna hai [There's a desire inside to achieve something].
With seniors under severe pressure, Suresh Raina will surely step into test cricket sooner or later. But at the moment he will be looking to give his best and reverse Indian cricket’s fortunes in the two T20’s and ODI tri series which surely is his cup of tea
